Farmland continued to grow in value last year

The Federal Reserve Bank of
Chicago said the average value of farmland in Iowa and the four other states in
its district increased 16 percent last year, with Iowa farmland leading the way
with a 20 percent rise. Values in the fourth quarter of 2012 were 7 percent
higher than in the third quarter.
