Iowa towns get state loans for water quality projects

The Iowa Finance Authority and the Iowa Department of Natural Resources today announced nearly $35 million in low-cost water quality loans, including a $2.4 million loan to Grimes for a new well. In Jasper County, Colfax will receive $1.1 million and Mingo will receive $360,000 for water treatment improvements. In all, 22 Iowa communities will receive the loans, according to a news release.
