USDA and World Food Prize to partner on internship program

U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack and Kenneth Quinn, president of the World Food Prize Foundation, will hold a ceremony at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday to formalize a partnership between the two entities.

The partnership will scale up the U.S. Department of Agriculture's (USDA) Wallace-Carver Internship Program. The program provides a path for high school and college students interested in agriculture and science to earn internships at the USDA.
