The Iowa Economic Development Authority’s International Trade Office, Renew Rural Iowa, the Center for Industrial Research and Service (CIRAS), Greater Des Moines Partnership and the International Traders of Iowa will host 3 international trainings on May 19 and 20 at the Iowa Farm Bureau Auditorium in West Des Moines. The full day Import Compliance training on May 19 will discuss Roles & Responsibilities of importer, customs broker, forwarder; Duty Drawbacks; TIBs; Carnets; Classifications; Bonds; Valuations; Assists; Documentation; Record keeping; a 17 point import checklist and more. Two half day programs will be offered on May 20. How to file an Electronic Export Information (EEI) using AESPcLink covers AESPcLink vs. AESDirect, Review of each field, When required, Error reports, Common errors, and Examples. And the Overview of Export Control Updates will review Export Control Reform, 600/515 series, ECCN/USML categories, Definitions, Exceptions, Interactive decision tree tools, License type, etc. These trainings will be presented by compliance training expert Mike Allocca at greatly discounted rates.
