|Iowa Restaurant Association 80th Anniversary Celebration
|The Iowa Restaurant Association is celebrating 80 years of representing, educating, and protecting Iowa’s restaurant and bar industry. Come celebrate this rich history with other Iowa Restaurant Association members at the Temple of Performing Arts recital hall in Des Moines on May 28. The celebration will be held from 5-7 pm on Tuesday night.
A Walk Down Memory Lane
Photos from past President’s Balls, Miss Iowa Restaurant Association competitions and many other IRA events will take attendees back to the past. Guests will be able to reconnect with colleagues and friends while celebrating the association that brought them together.
As is tradition with Iowa Restaurant Association events, hors d’oeuvres and cocktails will be provided. Guests can enjoy a secret, signature drink in honor of the IRA red coats. In its early history, Iowa Restaurant Association members wore matching red blazers to IRA events. Therefore, we are asking guests to wear red in honor of this tradition. A $50 PAC donation per person is suggested.
“We are excited at the opportunity to honor the members and friends who have helped build the association” said IRA president and CEO Jessica Dunker. “We want to use this opportunity to thank as many people as possible for their more than 80 years of contributions!”
