Description: Please join the Des Moines Women's Club as we welcome Martin Kelly for Hollywood Cowboys at 1 p.m. Feb. 27, 2013, at Hoyt Sherman Place! Martin Kelly, former president of Iowa City Area Development Corp., has been a collector of cowboy movie memorabilia for more than 45 years. Mr. Kelly will share some of the objects he has collected and he will share his many stories of the era of Westerns in movie theaters – tales of heroes, villains, stuntmen and the many characters that portrayed the pioneer days on the silver screen. Humanities Iowa is helping to fund this appearance.
