The annual Festival of Trees and Lights begins today from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and continues through Sunday in the ballroom at the Community Choice Credit Union Convention Center at Veterans Memorial. Custom-decorated trees will be available for purchase through a silent auction, and there will be performances from children's choirs, local music groups and dance teams. Kids can participate in a scavenger hunt among the trees, and there are photos to take with Santa and the children's train to ride. New for adults only this evening is Festival Under the Lights from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. with live music, drinks and a gourmet popcorn bar for $15 per person. Tickets are $5 at the door; children 2 and younger are free. Festival hours are from 1 to 7 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day.
