Goodwill Industries of Central Iowa is running low on donations and is urging members of the community to drop off gently used clothes, furniture, computers and housewares, including dishes and kitchen items.

Donations fund Goodwill's job training programs, said Marlyn McKeen, president of Goodwill.

"Last year we served 2,255 people and placed 262 people with barriers to employment into jobs." McKeen said. "We plan on serving even more people this year, but a shortage of donations could affect our ability to do that."
