This weekend, two local Lego enthusiasts will build a scale model of the Science Center of Iowa (SCI) out of 60,000 Lego bricks. Software engineer Chris Hettinger and mechanical engineer Scott Bowman will work on the build March 16 and 17 at the Science Center.
The first 100 families to visit will receive a free custom SCI Lego micro-kit to build at home. The completed Lego model will measure approximately five feet wide by seven feet long and weigh nearly 300 pounds.
