William A. "Bill" Krause, the West Des Moines entrepreneur who built Kum & Go LC, the nation's fifth-largest privately held convenience store chain, died Wednesday at age 78. Not only did he make his mark on business, but he helped to better and change the Greater Des Moines area through his leadership and philanthropy.
