The tastiest time of year returns tomorrow with the kickoff of Des Moines Restaurant Week 2014.
The seventh annual event will be held Friday through Saturday, Aug. 24. Restaurant Week is presented by dsm magazine and the Business Record, in partnership with the Greater Des Moines Convention and Visitors Bureau.
Chefs at 32 Greater Des Moines restaurants have prepared special prix fixe menus for the occasion, and patrons can purchase two lunches or one three-course dinner for $25. As an added draw this year, Restaurant Week participants can enter to win a trip for two to Bermuda. All you have to do is save four receipts from participating restaurants and drop them off at Business Publications Corp. Inc., 100 Fourth St., by noon on Aug. 26.
Menus are posted on Restaurant Week's website. Here are some other ways to get the best information and enjoy Restaurant Week:
Last year, nearly 22,000 people dined at participating restaurants during Restaurant Week, contributing $308,000 to the Greater Des Moines economy.
