Children & Families of Iowa raised more than $125,000 for its programs during its 12th annual Tango gala on Aug. 1, the nonprofit announced. The organization hosted 260 guests during the event held in the Grand Ballroom at The Temple for Performing Arts. Among the major items auctioned were trips to South Africa, Mexico, California and Colorado. "Tango is a wonderful opportunity for people to enjoy a fun evening while giving back to at-risk families in their community who are less fortunate," said Amy Stapp-Arpy, CFI's chief development officer. "We had a great crowd this year and are very thankful to everyone who chose to come out in support of those in need."
