Far Reach, a Cedar Falls-based technology and marketing firm, recently announced that two Des Moines nonprofit organizations are finalists in its Operation: Make a Difference contest. Eat Greater Des Moines and Children's Cancer Connection will get the chance to have software built by Far Reach for free. Finalists were selected based on a variety of criteria, including project scope, potential impact, creativity, benefit to the individual organization, and how well the project fits in with the skills of the Far Reach team. The project with the most votes at 11:59 p.m. on Feb. 14 will be declared the winner. Voting is on Far Reach's Facebook page, and individuals can vote once every 24 hours. The winner will be announced on Facebook Feb. 17.
