The Immigrant Entrepreneurs Summit today announced four award winners who will be honored at the event on Nov. 9, headlined by Tej Dhawan, who will receive the Immigrant Entrepreneurship Leadership Award.  

 

Dhawan is a principal of StartupCity Des Moines, a technology incubator focused on helping early-stage startups. The award is given to a first generation immigrant who has demonstrated leadership and an entrepreneurial spirit in his or her professional and family life and on behalf of the immigrant community.

 

Other award winners are:

  • Chirantan Ghosh, founder of The Ghosh Center for Oncology & Hematology, will be awarded the Immigrant Spirit Award.
  • Comercializadora Del Midwest LLC won the Outstanding Immigrant Business Award. Iowa Center on Health Disparities and the Iowa Center for Immigrant Leadership and Integration won the Karen Evans Immigrant Champion Awards.
