Movie rental chain Blockbuster will end its retail and mail order services by January of next year, CNNMoney reports. Blockbuster, which was bought by Dish Network Corp. in 2010 after going bankrupt, will shutter its domestic operations, the article said, including approximately 300 stores and all distribution centers. The company's two remaining locations in Iowa will be affected by the closures, The Des Moines Register reports, including one at 502 N. Ankeny Blvd. in Ankeny. The second store is located in Sioux City. In January 2013, Blockbuster announced it would close 300 stores and cut approximately 3,000 jobs. The announcement affected stores in Des Moines, West Des Moines and Fort Dodge.
