Des Moines University will partner with the American Red Cross serving Greater Iowa to offer additional first aid access during the Iowa State Fair next month. The DMU Mobile Clinic, housed in a Winnebago motor coach, will be located near Gate 10 by the DART shuttle drop-off and will augment two first aid stations operated by Red Cross volunteers. "The Mobile Health Clinic is a fantastic resource for community partners, and teaming up with the Red Cross is a great way to help ensure a healthy experience for fairgoers," said Brianne Sanchez, community relations manager for Des Moines University. Last year, 125 Red Cross volunteers worked more than 1,760 hours at the Iowa State Fair, providing more than 5,500 first aid services to fairgoers. The Red Cross is always seeking additional first aid volunteers. For more information, click here.
