Groundbreaking held for Ashley Okland playground

A groundbreaking was held today for the Ashley Okland Star Playground at Ewing Park in Des Moines, according to KCCI.com. The playground, believed to be one of the largest in Iowa, is designed for children with cognitive and physical disabilities. The park is named after Ashley Okland, a real estate agent who was killed in April 2011. Construction is expected to be completed by July.
