IndyCar will return to Iowa in 2014 and 2015, again with Iowa Corn as sponsor. The race that will be 50 laps longer and will coincide a NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race the same weekend. The announcement is a positive one for the track, coming on the heels of news in September that it was behind on payments and the resignation of CEO Doug Fritz. Rusty Wallace, the track's architect, expressed optimism that this was a positive step when reached by The Des Moines Register for comment. The Iowa Corn 300 is scheduled for July 12 under the lights and the American Ethanol 200 trucks race is set for Friday, July 11.
