Iowa's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate remained at 4.4 percent in June, Iowa Workforce Development said today. The state's jobless rate was 4.8 percent one year ago. The U.S. unemployment rate dropped to 6.1 percent in June from 6.3 percent in May. The number of unemployed Iowans increased to 74,500 in June from 73,900 in May. The total number of working Iowans increased to 1,624,600 in June from 1,624,100 in May.
