Kum & Go LC announced it has entered into a partnership with global nonprofit Habitat for Humanity International. Through the initiative, the West Des Moines-based convenience store chain has committed a $100,000 corporate gift to support Habitat's mission, and will also sponsor construction of a Habitat for Humanity home within its 11-state market area through its "Let's Build a Home Together" project. Customers will be asked to join the effort by adding a $1 donation to their in-store purchases through the end of March. The company will sponsor a Habitat home in the region that collects the most money as a percentage of customer traffic through its stores. Kum & Go is currently the only convenience store partner of Habitat for Humanity, which has more than 1,500 community affiliates throughout the United States.
