Diane Bridgewater, executive vice president/chief financial and administrative officer of LCS, has been selected by the Business Record as the Deloitte CFO of the Year.

Bridgewater joined LCS in 2006 as vice president, treasurer and chief financial officer. She was promoted to her present position in 2011. Based in Des Moines, LCS is the nation's third-largest senior housing manager, serving more than 33,000 senior living community residents at 130 communities in 31 states.

Her strategic, financial and business operations leadership for LCS and the LCS Family of Companies helped the organization and the communities it manages to grow to more than $5 billion in assets and more than $1.5 billion in annual revenue and employ nearly 24,000 people. Among her accomplishments, Bridgewater was instrumental in carrying out a minority recapitalization of LCS that has accelerated the company's growth in real estate ownership.

In addition to her own company's boards, Bridgewater has contributed her leadership skills to several for-profit and community boards. She is currently a board member of Casey's General Stores Inc. and Bankers Trust Co. She is also the council president of St. James Lutheran Church and is a member of Grand View University President's Advisory Council.

Bridgewater has served on the board of United Way of Central Iowa, and helped lead support for the Women's Leadership Connection in its formative years. As a board member of ChildServe, she chaired the board committee for strategic planning during a period of significant transition.

Bridgewater was named a 2013 Woman of Influence by the Business Record. She received the University of Northern Iowa's Alumni Achievement Award in 2005, the Athena Award in 2004, and was named to the Business Record's Forty Under 40 class in 2003.
