NASCAR today named Jimmy Small as the Iowa Speedway president, The Des Moines Register reported. Small, 28, most recently worked in NASCAR's team marketing services department, and has spent parts of the last three months working at the speedway. Small told the Register that there are no plans for a Sprint Cup race - which is NASCAR's top series - at Iowa Speedway until at least after the 2015 season. Currently, the speedway hosts races in lesser NASCAR series, including the "triple A" Nationwide Series and the Camping World Truck Series. NASCAR announced late last month that it had purchased Iowa Speedway from the family of Featherlite Trailers founder Conrad Clement.
