The Onion is at it again. The satirical fake-news website posted a story yesterday poking fun at the Iowa State Fair, which begins this week. The story, titled "Iowa State Fair guards told to shoot non-Iowa residents on sight," details how police have been ordered to shoot out-of-staters who get within 500 feet of the fairgrounds. (Remember, it's a fake story). It quotes a police spokesman as saying, "The state fair is for Iowans and Iowans only. They're the only ones who deserve to celebrate our rich history, salute our local growers, and look at our huge Butter Cow." In March, The Onion posted a satirical story about "Iowa Fashion Week."
