Principal Financial Group Inc.
has promoted Tim Dunbar to executive vice president and chief investment
officer, effective Jan. 1. Dunbar will continue in his role as chief investment
officer and retain oversight of the company's capital markets group. "This
promotion reflects Tim's leadership of the company's investment strategy as our
global investment footprint expands," said Larry Zimpleman, Principal's
chairman, president and CEO. "His over 27 years of experience in our asset
management, international and capital markets operations also give him a great
base from which to drive our continued success in mergers and
acquisitions." Dunbar, who joined Principal in the commercial real estate
division in 1986, became chief investment officer in 2012.
