Gov. Terry Branstad's STEM Advisory Council is taking applications to its Scale-Up program. Scale-Up programs are those that have demonstrated success in increasing student interest in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. The chosen programs will be on a menu of options presented to educators in March for implementation in the 2014-15 school year. The goal is to take programs that have worked in some areas and apply them to other communities in the state. The council is looking for proposals from academic institutions, nonprofit organizations and businesses. To apply, click here.
