Knoxville Raceway is hoping a $2 million tax break will aid in its plans to expand, according to The Des Moines Register. The rebate would be used to help pay off a proposed $4 million to $6 million expansion project at the racetrack, which attracts about 200,000 admissions annually. The four-story addition would be constructed on the east end of the speedway on the first turn, the article said, including six large corporate suites to seat about 300 people, room for offices, a ticket facility and a new main entrance.
