Michael Tramontina has resigned his position as president and CEO of ISED Ventures, the nonprofit organization told the Business Record. Patsy Shors, chair of ISED's board of directors, said she will step in as interim director until a successor is hired. Tramontina previously served in several state leadership positions, most recently as director of economic development, a position he resigned in September 2009 in the wake of the Iowa Film Office tax credit scandal. He joined ISED Ventures, which provides low- and moderate-income residents with financial education, savings and small business services, as president and CEO in June 2011. Tramontina could not be reached for comment. Shors said ISED Ventures will conduct a national search for a new director. "In the meantime, I will be meeting with stakeholders and key people in the community to understand how ISED Ventures should be structured, named and branded going forward," she said. She also plans to meet with Iowa Economic Development Authority Director Debi Durham and consultant Lydia Brown to discuss ways the state can collaborate with ISED's Women's Business Center.
