United Way of Central Iowa is looking for volunteers to provide free tax preparation for low- to moderate-income central Iowans. The agency plans to open seven sites between Jan. 21 and  April 15, where volunteers can help needy Iowans fill out their taxes during the day, evening and weekend. Last year, volunteers with this program helped nearly 5,000 residents and "brought  back $7.7 million to our community," United Way said.  For more information and to volunteer, visit United Way of Central Iowa's website.
