The Iowa Economic Development
Authority (IEDA) and the Greater Des Moines Partnership will hold a workshop on
the EB-5 immigrant investor visa program on Thursday. The workshop will be the
first opportunity to learn about a new strategic approach to the Iowa Regional
Center's EB-5 program, through a partnership between the IEDA and CMB Regional
Centers. The program targets qualified foreign nationals seeking to obtain
lawful permanent residency by investing in a business that will benefit the
U.S. economy and create or save at least 10 full-time U.S. jobs. The event is
scheduled for 3:30 to 5 p.m. on Feb. 7 in the Arthur Davis Conference
Room at the Partnership building, 700 Locust St. The session is free, but
attendees are encouraged to register at www.desmoinesmetro.com/events.
