The Iowa Energy will go green this week as it teams up with MidAmerican Energy Co. to clean up community areas and offer energy-saving tips to consumers. Iowa Energy players, coaches and staff will join MidAmerican employees in clean-up days at Four Mile Creek and Easter Lake Park on Tuesday and Wednesday. At its games on April 4 and 6, the team will wear green jerseys, and select jerseys will be auctioned off following the games to benefit MidAmerican Energy's I CARE program that assists low-income residents. At each game, MidAmerican Energy will have a booth to provide tips and information about energy efficiency programs, and the first 500 fans through the door will receive free reusable tote bags. This week, fans also will have the chance to win four tickets to each game through MidAmerican Energy's Twitter site. Additional details will be announced via Twitter on April 2.
