Miles Capital in West Des Moines has named Greg Boal as the firm's chief executive officer. David Miles, who was CEO and chairman of the board, will remain involved with the company as chairman. Boal has been president and chief investment officer since joining the firm in 2010, and he will continue serving as chief investment officer. Before joining Miles Capital, Boal was CEO of Aviva Investors North America. "Greg is a seasoned leader who is well-versed in institutional asset management at the most competitive levels," Miles said in a release. The firm, which currently has $4.2 billion in assets under management, provides customized asset management and advisory services, primarily focused on insurance, not-for-profit and public entity asset management. Miles was an early leader in the firm, founded in 1982 as Investors Management Group. which he repurchased from West Bancorporation Inc. in 2009. Miles Capital plans to launch two new strategies later this year, Boal said.
