Food Bank of Iowa announced today it has received $60,000 from the Nationwide Insurance Foundation.

The local grant is part of the foundation's $1.43 million commitment to Feeding America, a leading domestic hunger-relief organization; Food Bank of Iowa is among Feeding America's more than 200 members.

"Nationwide has had a long-standing commitment in Des Moines  to help our neighbors facing food insecurity, and with this grant, the Food Bank of Iowa will be able to feed more of our community in need," said Carey Miller, Food Bank of Iowa's executive director.
