Wells Fargo names head of regional banking operations for Iowa

Don Pearson has been named president of Wells Fargo & Co.'s Great Plains regional banking operation, which consists of Iowa, the Dakotas, Kansas, Nebraska and southwestern Illinois, according to a release. He will be based in Des Moines and lead an operation that includes 2,677 team members and 219 banks. Pearson has been with Wells Fargo since 2002 and previously served as president of a region made up of Oregon and southwest Washington State. He also has been a region manager for business banking in the Greater San Francisco and Southern California markets.
