A website founded by the Iowa State University College of Human Sciences is aiming to keep more recent college graduates in Iowa, according to this news release on the university website. The Rural Renaissance Community Index is designed as an online matchmaking tool that gauges what people find appealing in a community and suggests rural Iowa locations that meet their needs. Since the site's launch in 2011, 760 graduating college seniors have used the tool as part of a study, and about 50 others have used the tool on their own.
