IndyCar and the Boy Scouts of America will expose youths from Central Iowa to science, technology, engineering and mathematics education on Thursday by showing students how IndyCars, their engines and their fuel work.

The event will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday at Iowa Speedway in Newton, prior to the Iowa Corn 250 race this weekend. The race is the ninth stop in the Izod IndyCar 2012 series.
