Nearly one in 12 Greater Des
Moines companies plan to add new professional-level positions in the second
quarter, according to a new quarterly survey launched by Robert Half International.
According to the Des Moines Professional Employment Forecast, 8 percent of
local chief financial officers polled expect to add new positions in the next
three months. A majority of CFOs, 79 percent, said they would not be adding new
positions but would fill roles that open in the next three months. Another 12
percent of respondents will not be hiring. No companies said they plan to
reduce staff. The survey, conducted by an independent research firm, is based
on interviews with more than 100 CFOs at Greater Des Moines companies with 20
or more employees.
