Lind Statewide health-care survey

Health-Care Reform all
A majority of Iowa employers polled in the latest available survey by David P. Lind Benchmark indicated they plan to continue offering health coverage, which mirrors a national survey released this week by Towers Watson & Co. in which 88 percent of employers surveyed said they intend to continue providing health insurance. Here’s how Iowa employers responded to the 2011 Lind statewide survey.
How likely are you to terminate your current group medical plan, pay the $2,000 penalty per employee, and direct workers to the state exchanges to purchase coverage as individuals?
The administrative costs for maintaining the organization’s group health plan will be higher due to health care reform.
At least one of our organization’s medical plans will likely be deemed a “Cadillac Plan” in 2018 and be subject to a 40% excise tax.
