Mercy College of Health Sciences is now authorized to offer all of its degree programs online for distance education, the college announced late last week. The authorization was granted by The Higher Learning Commission, which is the regional accreditor for the U.S. Department of Education. Mercy currently has three degree programs taught exclusively by distance education, and no immediate plans to establish new academic programs or modify the delivery of existing programs. The college is in the process of using online learning management software to enhance existing classes, whether taught on campus or online.
