U.S. manufacturing accelerated to a 10-month high in November, according to the final purchasing managers index (PMI) released today by Markit, MarketWatch reported. The manufacturing PMI rose to 54.7, compared with a 51.8 reading in October. Readings for output, new orders, new export orders, backlogs, output prices, and quantity of purchases all saw accelerating growth. Readings above 50 indicate growth.
