Forest City-based Winnebago Industries Inc. today announced a net income of $31.95 million, or $1.14 per share, for the fiscal year ended Aug. 31, down from $44.97 million, or $1.54 per share, a year ago. The company said in a press release that a tax benefit was recorded in fiscal year 2012 due to a $37.7 million reduction in the valuation allowance on deferred tax assets. Net revenue for the company was $803 million, up from $582 million the year prior. Fourth quarter net income for Winnebago was $10.6 million, down from $40.9 million in the same period a year ago.
