Forest City-based Winnebago Industries Inc. today reported a net income of $11.1 million, or 40 cents per share, in the first quarter of fiscal year 2014, up from $7.4 million, or 26 cents per share, in the first quarter of fiscal year 2013. The first quarter ended Nov. 30. Revenues for the company were $222.7 million in the quarter, an increase of 15 percent over the $193.6 million a year ago. Operating income was $16 million, up from $9.9 million a year ago. Winnebago Chief Financial Officer Sarah Nielsen said in a press release that production increased 27 percent in the first quarter compared with a year ago and 11 percent from the previous quarter based on improved demand.
