Winnebago Industries Inc. today reported a 48.6 percent year-over-year increase in net income in its fiscal third quarter, which ended May 31. The company's net income was $11.4 million, or 42 cents per share, up from $7.7 million, or 27 cents per share, in the third quarter of fiscal 2013. Revenues for the company were $247.7 million, up 13.5 percent from a year ago. That was the highest quarterly revenue for the company since 2005. For the first nine months of the fiscal year, Winnebago reported a net income of $32.1 million, or $1.17 per share, up from $21.3 million, or 76 cents per share, in the same period a year earlier. Chairman, President and CEO Randy Potts said in a news release that the growth was driven by strong demand for the company's products, helped in part by the introduction of several new products and motor home floor plans in April.
