Construction spending took an unexpected drop in June

Outlays for U.S. construction projects unexpectedly declined in June, according to the Commerce Department, MarketWatch reported. Construction spending fell 0.6 percent in June to an annualized rate of $883.9 billion, well below analysts' expectations of a 0.5 percent gain and the biggest drop in five months. Read more.
