The rate of foreclosures among outstanding mortgages in Greater Des Moines was 1.89 percent in August, a decline of 0.6 percentage points from August 2012, real estate analytics firm CoreLogic Inc. said today. Loans that were 90 days or more past due made up 3.76 percent of Greater Des Moines' mortgages, a drop from 4.43 percent a year ago, according CoreLogic. The national foreclosure rate was 2.36 percent in August.
