The Iowa Utilities Board and Office of Consumer Advocate building in Des Moines is featured on the cover of the March edition of Consulting-Specifying Engineer, an engineering industry publication. The magazine features the facility in the article "Integrating a High-Performance Building," a case study on the highly integrated design of the state of Iowa's first Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Platinum-certified government agency structure. The article - co-authored by Scott Bowman of KJWW Engineering Consultants and Carey Nagle of BNIM, both of Des Moines - explains how the high-performance building was achieved on a $9.5 million budget.
