The Greater Des Moines Partnership has announced a new statewide funding program designed to help startups gain more access to early growth stage funding. The program, called NestMint, is an initiative of the Partnership along with LWBJ CPAs and Business Advisors, BrownWinick Law Firm and the Iowa Innovation Corp. NestMint will provide startups with money to move their business from idea to actuality with seed funding. A founding fund will consider investments in all business types and ideas, with the goal of increasing the number of viable new businesses in the state. NestMint will be funded by accredited investors, and each fund will be managed by a board of five statewide directors.
