Rare Cadillac with Des Moines history wins at car show

A 1932 Cadillac owned by Salisbury House & Gardens won first place in the senior division of a Grand Classic car show of vintage collector cars last weekend in Chesterfield, Mo. The 1932 Dual Cowl Sport Phaeton Cadillac 355B was a gift to the Salisbury House from David and Liz Kruidenier in 2004. David Kruidenier's father owned Kruidenier Cadillac, a Des Moines dealership that frequently sold automobiles to Salisbury House owner and builder Carl Weeks. Kruidenier wanted the car to be shown in multiple venues. and it now sits in the Salisbury House's garages, with other vintage automobiles.
