Kurns named new editorial director of Successful Farming magazine

Meredith Corp. has named David Kurns the new editorial director of Successful Farming magazine.
Kurns started his career at the Ames Tribune after graduating from Iowa State University, then later moved on to Meredith.
Kurns has developed a strong sense for digital content, according to a release, and has previously served as editor-in-chief of Meredith Interactive Media and has been the brand manager for clients like Principal Financial Group Inc. and Kraft Foods Inc. in the company's business-to-business marketing services agency.
Kurns replaces retiring editor Loren Kruse, who has worked at Meredith for 36 years.
