The Des Moines International Airport is the latest to be outfitted with the Transportation Security Administration's PreCheck process, according to The Des Moines Register. Frequent flyers and low-risk travelers will benefit from the new process, allowing them to skip the most time-consuming security measures. Des Moines is the first city in Iowa to have PreCheck, the article said, and while the TSA has installed PreCheck at 97 airports and plans to expand it to six more by the end of the year, there are no additional plans for Iowa. Some frequent flyers, members of trusted traveler programs and military personnel will be able to enroll to use PreCheck each time they fly, the Register reported, while travelers may be selected by the TSA to use PreCheck for certain flights. They will see a PreCheck logo on their boarding pass.
