12 school partnerships named to STEM Best program

116 wordsAll Latest News, Education, Government Policy and LawThe Governor’s STEM Advisory Council has named 12 school-business programs as STEM BEST (Businesses Engaging Students and Teachers) Program partners for 2020. The program provides support to school-business partnerships that bring teachers and industry professionals together to design a curriculum connected to future careers. The 12 new or expanded partnerships will receive up to $25,000 each. Participating employer partners may contribute a dollar-for-dollar match, with some going above and beyond the cost-share requirement. A total of 75 new and expanded STEM BEST Programs have been awarded since 2014 involving more than 8,500 students across the state.
